Procurement practice in Ghana has changed since the inception of the Public Procurement Act. With every government agency mandated to have at least one qualified procurement professional, prospects in procurement and materials management has become enormous. More importantly, with the quest by businesses in the 21st century to improve operational efficiency, a good background in procurement and materials management is essential for every organization. This program has been carefully designed to:

  1. Equip students with the relevant skills to reduce workplace inefficiency while promoting maximum productivity.
  2. Help students get acquainted with local and international procurement and materials management standards. 
  3. Promote ethical standards among practitioners.

Entry Requirements:

WASSCE/ SSSCE Applicants

Three (3) passes not below D7 (A1 to D7) or D in three core subjects including English and Mathematics + Two (2) passes in elective subjects.

Mature Applicants

  1. Must be at least 25 years at the time of application.
  2. Must have five (5) credits at the WASSCE/SSSCE level.
  3. Must provide evidence of relevant work experience.
  4. Must pass entrance examination and interview.


2 years

Students would be required to have at least three (3) months of practical experience in the area as a pre-requisite for graduation.
